The Signature Dish Is Melt-in-Your-Mouth Harami Steak
Kobe’s cult-favorite meat spot Niku no Esaka(肉のエサカ) just landed in Sennan, Osaka. Yes, another meat temple—but this one actually has receipts.

The name isn’t branding fluff. “Niku no” (“of meat”) is literal. The place is run by C-HUNDRED, a company that operates its own meat-processing plant. They move tens of tons of meat every month. They cut it themselves. They source it themselves. No middlemen. Which means the prices don’t spiral into steakhouse cosplay territory.
The headliner? Jukusei Torokeru Harami(熟成とろけるハラミ), better known as “Toro Harami.” Translation: aged skirt steak that’s meant to melt. And it kind of does.
The tenderness isn’t magic. It’s process.
First, precise cutting—done by seasoned pros with modern equipment.
Then a three-day soak in a house sauce packed with enzymes.
Finally, it’s cooked to that just-barely-done sweet spot. Not raw. Not tough. Somewhere indulgent in between.
You’ve got two ways in. Thick-cut or thin-sliced.

The thick cut comes as a steak. Straightforward. Meaty. No distractions.
The thin version lands in a rice bowl—easy to demolish, kid-approved, and surprisingly good for takeout since it doesn’t toughen up.
And then there’s the rice situation. They offer large and extra-large portions for free. Not “cute café large.” We’re talking manga-level mountains of rice. If you leave hungry, that’s on you.
One sleeper hit: Seiniku Kojo Makanai Tonjiru(精肉工場まかない豚汁). Originally a staff meal from the processing plant, now on the menu. Pork fat richness. Vegetable sweetness. The kind of soup that makes you pause mid-bite and reconsider your life choices—in a good way.
The promise here is simple: good, affordable, filling. No fine-dining theatrics. Just a meat operation flexing its supply chain.
In Kansai, that’s enough to build a following.
