One parfait somehow includes cassata, mango pudding, coconut and cherries
Mango parfaits layered with cassata, cherry, coconut and mango pudding are arriving in Kanazawa just in time for early summer.
Dessert café Punini, located near JR Kanazawa Station, is marking its third anniversary with a limited seasonal lineup starting May 16. The new menu leans heavily into soft textures, bright fruit flavours and carefully crafted presentation — very much Punini’s thing.

The star is Mango and Cherry Parfait (マンゴーとさくらんぼのパフェ), an eat-in-only parfait built around sweet Miyazaki mangoes and tart cherries. Blonde chocolate, coconut, apple jelly and cassata — a semi-frozen Italian dessert — are layered into the mix, before ending with mango pudding at the bottom.
There’s also Coco Punini Anniversary Collection (ココプニーニ アニバーサリーコレクション), a four-piece set created for the café’s anniversary. Flavours include Strawberry Shortcake, Blueberry Cheese, Crown Melon and Vanilla, with ingredients ranging from Noto blueberries to Madagascar vanilla beans.

For summer, Punini is also bringing back Frapenini (フラペニーニ), a take on Japanese kakigori shaved ice topped with condensed milk whipped cream, fruit and pieces of Punini sweets. It’ll be available for both dine-in and takeaway.

Customers who spend ¥3,000 or more during the campaign period will receive a limited-edition Punini mug while supplies last.
Punini calls its desserts a “magical texture that stops time.” Looking at the pastel creams, glossy fruit and perfectly layered parfaits, you kind of get it.
