Chiba’s Menya Maguro: Where Ramen and Donburi Go Wild
Opened on November 5, 2025, Menya Maguro(めん屋まぐ郎) in Togane, Chiba, puts bluefin tuna front and center. Social media blew up fast—portions here are absurdly generous.

Lunchtime is a race: the first five customers get the legendary Tuna Tenkomori Don(まぐろてんこ盛り丼, ¥850). Always gone in a flash. Blink, and you’ll be staring at someone else’s bowl.

Evenings bring the Pork Kakuni Tenkomori Don(豚角煮てんこ盛り丼, ¥850), featuring about 400 grams of melt-in-your-mouth pork kakuni made with a secret recipe. First five orders only. Doors open at 6 PM (5 PM on weekends/holidays). Come early or face serious FOMO.
After work? The “One-Coin Noodle Time” is your ticket. Any noodle dish for ¥500 between 6–6:30 PM (5–5:30 PM on weekends/holidays), first ten customers only, plus a free large-size upgrade. Cheap thrills with extra smug points.

New arrivals: Pork Kakuni Half-Don(豚角煮丼ハーフ, ¥550), slow-simmered for two days, finished with a special sauce—perfect solo or alongside ramen. And the Twin Ramen(ツインラーメン, ¥1,250), for those who can’t pick just one flavor. Side-by-side bowls let you mix Maguro Tonkotsu Ramen, Kitakata Ramen (Light), or Kitakata Ramen (Rich)—taste-testing never felt so serious.

Generous portions, bold flavors, and clever combos make Menya Maguro(めん屋まぐ郎) a Chiba spot worth lining up for. And yes, you can’t miss it: a two-meter-long tuna dangles over the entrance.
