Lupinus Kinosaki – Bread That Makes You Forget the Onsen… Almost
If you find yourself in Kinosaki Onsen, Hyogo, don’t just soak—Lupinus Kinosaki(ルピナス城崎) opened on December 11, 2025, and it’s calling your taste buds. This is the second spot from the cult-favorite Pan Kobo Lupinus(パン工房ルピナス), whose main store perches near Takeda Castle, aka the “castle in the clouds.”

Start with the Ii Yu Dana Shokupan(いい湯だな食パン). Soft, chewy, and subtly sweet thanks to the yudane method, it’s made with domestic wheat, Wasan Mitsuto sugar, and Yotsuba butter. Cube-shaped for souvenir vibes or long for everyday munching—basically, bread that’s too good to just toast.
Then there’s Hojicha Anpan(ほうじ茶あんぱん), where roasted green tea and Wasan Mitsuto sugar get kneaded into dough and wrapped around sweet bean paste. Cozy, Japanese, and perfect for pretending you’re having a “cultural experience” while actually just enjoying dessert.

Butter lovers, don’t sleep on the Brioche(ブリオッシュ). Light, fluffy, and packed with Yotsuba butter, it’s ideal for breakfast or as a snack while wandering the hot springs.
With its opening, Lupinus Kinosaki(ルピナス城崎) makes your Kinosaki stroll just a little more delicious—literally.
