A hilltop beer terrace with sweeping city views is back in Fukuoka—and it now comes with a zero-proof twist.
Perched inside HILLTOP RESORT FUKUOKA, THE GARDEN BRASSERIE returns for the season from April 18 to October 31, 2026. First reopened in 2025, the open-air space pairs wide wooden decks with panoramic views over the city and surrounding greenery. By night, lanterns glow orange underfoot as the skyline flickers to life.
The terrace unfolds across two levels. Upstairs, a rooftop area leans into sky-high openness with a polished, lounge-like feel. Downstairs, the garden lounge keeps things softer—suited to slower meals and conversation.
Food centers on BBQ, but it doesn’t stop there. A buffet blends French foundations with Japanese, Asian, and Mediterranean influences. At the live kitchen, dishes are finished in a hollowed wheel of Parmigiano Reggiano, adding a bit of theater to the plate.
This year also introduces Zero Proof Cocktails (0% vol. Cocktails), a non-alcoholic lineup designed by executive pastry chef Soya Takahashi. Built like desserts in liquid form, they layer herbs, spices, tea, and fruit to echo the depth of spirits like gin or whiskey, without the alcohol.
Five drinks lead the menu, including the fruit-forward Bellini Cedrina, the spiced Zero Highball (ゼロ・ハイボール), and the tea-based Monarca Forest (モナルカ・フォレスト). The idea is simple: choose your glass by mood, not by alcohol content.
Beer options like SORACHI 1984 and Kuro Label sit alongside wine, cocktails, champagne, and non-alcoholic picks, all served across the bar counter and rooftop.
Come for the breeze in the afternoon. Stay for the view after dark—and maybe skip the buzz.
