RINGO’s anniversary drop is all about bundled, limited-edition sets
Hello Kitty is getting baked into apple pie—and this time, she’s bringing merch.
Japanese pastry chain RINGO is celebrating its 10th anniversary with a limited-edition collaboration featuring Sanrio’s iconic character Hello Kitty. The campaign launches April 1, 2026, as the second installment of the brand’s ongoing “RINGO 10th ANNIVERSARY” project—and it leans hard into both dessert and design.

At the center is RINGO yakitate custard apple pie (焼きたてカスタードアップルパイ), the shop’s signature pastry, known for its flaky shell and custard filling baked fresh on-site. For the collaboration, it’s joined by two variations—“mille-feuille” and “open pie”—each finished with Hello Kitty–inspired visuals that turn the pastries into edible character goods.

Here’s the catch: none of the pies are sold on their own. All three come exclusively bundled in set formats, paired with original items. The lineup includes a quilted cooler bag set and a pouch set from April 1, followed by a mini plate set launching April 22, which includes one randomly selected Hello Kitty design (out of four). It’s a format that leans into Japan’s love of limited-edition packaging and built-in collectibility.

There’s also a standalone item: RINGO financier Hello Kitty can (RINGOフィナンシェ ハローキティ缶), which packages three apple-flavored financiers in a Hello Kitty–themed tin. Unlike the pie sets, this one extends beyond RINGO stores to select BAKE the SHOP locations and an online release starting April 7.

All items are limited in quantity and capped at four per product per purchase, with availability ending as soon as stock runs out. In other words, hesitation is not part of the experience.
It’s a carefully calibrated mix of warm pastry and cold-blooded collectibility—and the real question might be which one people are actually lining up for.
