Hitachi beef, rum cocktails and a garden full of water reflections
Starting May 15, Hotel Crystal Palace will reopen Bakarudi Garden (バカルディガーデン), a seasonal outdoor dining space hidden inside the hotel’s Aqua Garden courtyard.
The setup feels closer to a private garden party than a typical beer garden. Trees surround the space. Water reflects the lights. Guests can settle in with either a DIY BBQ course or an omakase-style meal, where the chef handles the cooking for you.

Both plans come in light and standard versions priced from ¥4,000 to ¥6,000, while more extravagant options feature seafood and Hitachi beef, Ibaraki Prefecture’s premium wagyu brand. The most indulgent course reaches ¥10,000.
There’s also a 120-minute free-flow drinks menu with Bacardi cocktails, plus extras like shirasu and garlic pizza, roast beef salad and loco moco available à la carte.

Lunch service begins modestly with Wednesdays only in May before expanding to daily lunch and dinner service from June through September. Rainy weather doesn’t cancel the experience — it just relocates the party indoors.
Not every summer beer garden needs neon signs and packed rooftops. Some work better with trees, water and a strong rum cocktail.
